A warm welcome to Christine Mayers as our new Head of Education & Training – here to strengthen our leadership in providing outstanding technology training and CPD to everyone in education.
More than just training though – schools need to understand the potential technology brings to teaching, learning, IT efficiencies, meetings, communities and more - before they buy. Christine will help us amplify these messages so schools can make robust plans and fully-informed buying choices. It’s our part of our comprehensive approach to supporting education – Planning, Choosing, Buying, Using.
The technology supply chain also needs to up its game – understanding the nuances of education, understanding how technology can literally change lives and then being there to help schools make it happen. Christine will help train our team in all these areas – whether not they’re working directly with our customers.
Our new Head of Education & Training brings vast experience in education, always motivated to drive adoption of technology - from earlier days as a teacher to more recent experiences as a school leader in a large MAT.
A busy few weeks are already planned! Meeting leaders and partners in our sector, optimising our Elementary Technology Experience Centre, some introductions to our key customers and a few days at Bett!
Then it’s about forging partnerships, supporting schools and MATs with bespoke CPD plans, sharing our Elementary Technology Academy more widely and helping everyone use technology to deliver better education.
Feel free to contact Christine directly – and watch this space for more.
